Wonder woman Indonesia Raih Gelar Doktor Kehormatan, Menteri Susi Terharu

                  

Marcvila, Jakarta - Menteri Kelautan dan Perikanan Susi Pudjiastuti mendapatkan gelar doktor kehormatan, bidang keilmuan manajamen dan konservasi sumber daya kelautan dari Institusi Teknologi Sepuluh November.   Menteri Susi tak bisa menyembunyikan rasa harunya saat menerima gelar doktor kehormatanyang diberikan padanya  hari Jumat (10/11) kemarin. 

Susi menyebut gelar doktor kehormatan ini merupakan pengakuan terhadap kebijakan kementeriannya dalam menjaga potensi laut yang ada. Pemberian gelar doktor kehormatan untuk Menteri Kelautan dan Perikanan Susi Pudjiastuti menurut Rektor ITS, Joni Hermana adalah karena selama ini Menteri Susi menunjukkan langkahnya dalam membuat kebijakan pengelaolaan laut lebih baik.

Marcvila, New York - This Video captures ferry crew rescuing man from river in NYC   A man was pulled from the water after a ferry crew saw him jump from the seawall. 

Video captured a dramatic rescue in New York City on Friday morning.

CBS New York reports the captain and crew of the N.Y. Waterway ferry pulled a man from the water at around 8:30 a.m. after seeing him jump from the seawall. 

Captain David Dort maneuvered the ferry into position as the crew lowered a roll-up ladder called a "Jason's Cradle" from the front of the boat.

Deckhands Gregorio Pages and Pietro Romano pulled the man aboard.

"The crew did an excellent job. They did what they were trained to do," Dort said. "For us, this is all in a day's work."
Police in lower Manhattan were checking out a report of a stolen cab around the time of the rescue. 

They are currently investigating whether the person who was rescued from the river is linked to the stolen cab. The man was turned over to police and EMS at the ferry terminal.

N.Y. Waterway crews have helped rescue more than 250 people from area waters in the last 31 years, including 143 people from the "Miracle on the Hudson."

“He does it every time he boards a flight,” said Jakubowicz.
“Ironically, he learned how to fist-bump when he was like 18 months. We
were waiting on the tarmac and he was getting antsy so I let him run
around the aisle a little bit and these guys behind us taught him how to
fist bump.”

Ever since then, everyone Guy encounters gets the friendly greeting.

“We just got back from the library and he fist-bumped everyone there. We
just dropped off his sister at school and he fist-bumped everyone in
the administration office,” his mom said.

Southwest Airlines shared the video on their Facebook page where it has
gone viral with nearly 70,000 likes. Jakubowicz is thrilled her son is
helping spread joy across social media.

“I’m so proud of him. When can you say that you made 70,000 people smile
in one day?” she said. “Most people can’t say that and he’s done it and
he’s only 2.”
